Beginning as a four-person woodworking company in 1991, Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild has grown to be a premier provider of fine interior woodwork and finishes preferred by the most distinguished homeowners, architects, interior designers, builders, and general contractors for residences in the most exclusive communities across the country. Today, with a team of more than 70 talented and passionate artisans and support staff—sharing centuries of combined experience—Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild transforms interiors with the finest quality cabinetry, architectural millwork, and professional finishes. In addition, we create one-of-a-kind furniture masterpieces that transcend time and trend, and are sure to become the treasures of future generations.
As a reflection of our core values, Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild embodies a true “shoulder-to-shoulder” work ethic where each department works collaboratively to evolve a project from the earliest sketches of an idea to the finishing touches on a final installed product. From design engineers who transform concepts into shop drawings, to cabinetmakers, artisans, and master finishers who bring these drawings to life, to installers who turn finished products into showcases, each team member is committed to providing monumental quality products and white glove customer service. This confluence of quality and service makes each project truly extraordinary and defines the Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild experience.
In addition to holding ourselves to the highest standards of our trade, our company also holds itself to the highest standards of civic responsibility. Each member of our team is encouraged to give back to the community in a myriad of ways. We mentor and encourage local youth, offering programs at their schools and in our own facilities, with the goal of providing positive role models and experiences, and also with the hope of inspiring the next generation of woodworkers and artisans. Our company recognizes the importance of reaching out to our community and embraces the opportunity to help meet the needs of the less fortunate.
Based in Naples, Florida, Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild operates its old world trade within a 50,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility which houses design, engineering, manufacturing and finishing departments, as well as administrative offices and showrooms. We pride ourselves on our clean and safe workplace and encourage current and potential clients to tour our facility at any time.
While Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild continues to evolve in order to consistently exceed client needs and expectations, one thing remains consistent: our commitment to “nothing less than monumental” in each and every endeavor, for each and every client.

WORKING WITH US
We provide you with a convenient, turnkey experience by overseeing and executing all facets of your project including: design and engineering, manufacturing, finish application, and professional installation. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our artisans and be appointed a project manager to oversee every detail, keep you apprised along the way, and promptly respond to your requests and inquiries. We take great pride not only in our craftsmanship but also in our white glove customer care, and we promise you an unparalleled experience, every step of the way.
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AND ESTIMATING
Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild is fortunate to be selected for a handful of premier residential projects each year and we are expected to uphold our mission of monumental quality and white glove service. Once we have met with you to determine if we would be good fit, we then estimate the cost for our participation. We first create a detailed, itemized scope of work based on interior design drawings and specifications, then we estimate the price for each item based on our experience and historical data. The more detailed information we receive, the more accurate and timely pricing we provide.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Every project, whether an entire house millwork package or a small table repair, gets assigned a project manager. Our project management team is comprised of highly detailed and experienced millwork professionals with decades of experience in luxury residential construction and fine woodworking. Your project manager will oversee the job from kick-off to completion and perform tasks such as field measuring, shop drawing review, quality inspections, scheduling, and final punch.
ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
Before cutting the first piece of wood, every detail must be worked out, leaving nothing to chance. We do this in the form of detailed shop drawings which are our road maps to success on each project. Our experienced engineering and drafting team works meticulously to create comprehensive drawings that clearly communicate field conditions, design details, fabrication details, material selections, finish selections, hardware schedules, and any components, such as glass, metal, etc., that are related to our scope of work.
In addition, we are often called on to help with cabinetry and millwork design and detailing. In keeping with the interior designer’s vision, we are happy to provide basic sketches, comprehensive cabinetry and millwork design drawings, or even full-color meticulous renderings.
MATERIAL RESOURCES AND PROCUREMENT
For 30 years, we have established strong relationships with the premier providers of the raw materials required to create monumental quality finished products. We are hands on in the selection of all materials required for a project, seen and unseen, from furniture grade plywood substrates and glues, to hand-selected exotic hardwoods and veneers, to automotive quality finishing products, to fabric-lined drawer inserts and kitchen drawer inserts.
At our core we are a woodworking company. That being said, as full service professionals, we provide the highest level of coordination and convenience on each of our projects. This requires the seamless coordination of all materials that integrate with our wood cabinetry and millwork such as metal work, glass, mirror, stone, acrylic, leather, etc. by our extremely organized procurement team.
FABRICATION
To step into the workshop at Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild is to be welcomed to a world of master craftsmanship. Exotic hardwoods are carefully handcrafted into exquisite one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, fine cabinetry and architectural details. Intricate hand carving, lathe turning, hand-stitched veneering and complicated curved work are all executed by the hands of some of the world’s finest, most passionate artisans.
Our experienced team of master cabinetmakers and furniture makers come from diverse backgrounds but have one thing in common; a dedication to building the finest quality products possible. This skill and dedication, combined with premium materials and use of the most precise tools and machinery available, yield nothing less than monumental results.
FINISHING
Our roots are in fine finishing. Prior to launching Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild as a full-service woodworking company, Tom Riley partnered in a furniture and antique restoration and refinishing company that taught him and his sons the finishing trade and sparked a passion for fine craftsmanship.
To this day, our production and artistic finishes help us stand apart from others in our industry. From old-world hand applied finishes such as French polish, ceruse, glazing and waxing to modern finishes and materials including automotive polished high gloss and polyester finishes, our finishing team is exceptional.
Whether finishing newly fabricated products or refinishing an entire existing room, our versatile team of talented finishers and artists are capable of creating true masterpieces.
INSTALLATION
Once a project is finished, inspected, and deemed ready for installation each piece is carefully wrapped, labeled, and transported to the climate controlled jobsite. On location, our dedicated installation team reviews all components in preparation for the final phase of the project, a white glove installation. Our installers are highly-skilled craftsman, many of which are cabinetmakers themselves, fully equipped to carefully execute a flawless installation. They have been selected, not only for their skill, but for having the temperament required to perform their work in conjunction with other trades and to represent Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild with kindness and professionalism at all times.
