The paradox of giving is that one always seems to receive more in return. For Tom Riley and the entire Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild family, giving back is an important part of our belief system.
Currently, our philanthropic priority is the building of a sanctuary and community center for the Immokalee Church of the Nazarene. We invite you to learn more about this project and our other philanthropic initiatives and encourage you to visit our facilities in Naples, Florida where you’ll see that dedication to our clients and caring for our community goes hand in hand.
Immokalee — located just 30 minutes from coastal Naples — is home to thousands of working poor who supply agricultural produce for much of the nation. The Immokalee Church of the Nazarene (ICN) is a haven for many families in Immokalee. The growing ICN congregation, who has very little, has already given more than $100,000 towards the building of a new ICN sanctuary and community center. Tom Riley is now leading a campaign to raise $1.3 million to fulfill this dream for ICN and the people of Immokalee. To help us build this sanctuary, please contact Tom Riley or Danielle Poff at 239.591.3203.
We are passionate about providing support to children’s education and the less fortunate “from our hearts, through our hands.” Our hand-carved Art Noveau lecturns and stage setting created for the Education Foundation of Collier County have helped create awareness for the Golden Apple teacher recognition program and other wonderful programs.
TRAG has also opened its doors to thousands of students, including the severely emotionally handicapped. These students receive hands on training from TRAG master artisans. Our programs are designed to demonstrate the importance of hard work, respect and passion. The positive impact these programs have made on the children, and us, is overwhelming.
In January 2008, Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild debuted a one-of-a-kind pair of wine display cases for the eighth annual Naples Winter Wine Festival (NWWF). TRAG’s artisans invested more than 400 hours creating these elaborate English Brown Oak & Walnut barrels which are each dressed with leather-wrapped shelves and include a hand-carved and gilted NWWF insignia.
These hand-crafted wine cabinets helped the five hour event, held at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida, raise more than $14 million for children’s charities.
